Each year, the ACEhp recognizes organizations and members for their contributions to the field of continuing healthcare education. Med-IQ was honored, in part, for its logistical and content-development support related to the creation of the Quality Improvement Education (QIE) Roadmap, which was released on January 12, 2015. As a leader in QIE, Med-IQ’s team, including Mullaney, Miller, and Bennett, was instrumental in assisting ACEhp leadership and the QIE Committee’s completion of the project.
In addition to the awards presented to the Med-IQ team for their work on the QIE Roadmap, several employees received honors for their individual contributions to the continuing education in health professions (CEhp) field. Dr. Mencia was recognized for 13 years of contributions to the Alliance’s committees, publications, conferences, and other initiatives. Sara Miller, a frequent conference presenter on educational outcomes, received the Rising Star Award as a result of her leadership in the CEhp profession and her ever-increasing role at the annual conferences. CEO Weber was honored for 15 years of leadership and collaboration in the CEhp industry, as well as his commitment to advocating for the profession. Under his guidance, Med-IQ has continued to lead the way in providing nearly 500 high-quality educational activities for healthcare professionals designed to elicit measurable change in clinician competency, ultimately improving performance and patient outcomes. Over the past 5 years, Med-IQ has been recognized 22 times by the ACEhp for its work in the CEhp enterprise.
“It is our great pleasure to honor those—the best and brightest in our field,” said ACEhp Former Executive Director and CEO Mike Saxton, MEd, FACEHP, CHCP. “This year’s awardees are highly deserving of these awards for the valuable contributions they’ve made to our profession.”
